Emsisoft Anti-Malware specializes in the recognition and elimination of all kinds of malignant software, so-called Malware. It contains a file scanner that features two major antivirus scan engines (Ikarus + A2) and a guard, which use signature-based scans and behavior analysis to recognize and block potentially damaging behavior.

Emsisoft Anti-Malware now offers its services to five million registered users to prevent this from happening. The program is able to detect all types of damaging software and either place them in quarantine or remove them completely. It has been tested many times by the independent organizations Malware Research Group and PC Security Labs and has achieved numerous victories in these tests. Two scan engines optimally matched to each other raise an alert as soon as your computer is threatened. The scanner uses a database that is updated several times a day and which now contains around 4 million signatures. An additional behavior analysis module provides even more safety: It uncovers new damaging software on the basis of its destructive behavior alone.

Emsisoft Anti-Malware Version 5.0 incorporates major changes. The one that is most relevant to the user: The user interface has been greatly simplified. This allows PC beginners to immediately start working with the software because it is now much easier to use. The scanner has also been integrated into the main window and can now be started even faster than before. Emsisoft Anti-Malware is also very light on computer resources and now uses only about 20 MB RAM in normal guard operation.
